Jasmijn Slootjes

Last summer Jasmijn Slootjes completed her Master in Migration, Ethnic Relations & Multiculturalism at Utrecht University after which she started as a PhD candidate at the Free University of Amsterdam working on the role of health problems in the employment and integration of migrant women. Besides her academic focus on diversity issues she also explored other perspectives on this issue by working at the Integration Committee of the Municipality of Utrecht, by working on the consequences of upcoming budget-cuts on integration courses, and by working at the Migration Policy Group, a think tank in Brussels, as part of a 3- month research fellowship this spring. These experiences enabled her to combine academic insides on diversity issues with practice and policy. Slootjes is eager to learn more on qualitative perspectives on diversity issues, learn from each participant’s individual insights on the topic and to meet you!
