Same Mdluli

Same Mdluli is an arts administrator, writer and scholar living in Johannesburg. She completed her B-Tech in Fine Arts in 2006 at the University of Johannesburg and a Masters degree in Arts and Culture Management at Wits University in 2010. She has worked as an administrator at both the Cape Town and Johannesburg Goodman Gallery in 2007 and 2010 respectively and also taught art for a few years at primary school level. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions and won some awards including the 2012 Mentorship Award from the South African Arts Writers & Critics Association, a Post Graduate Merit Award from the University of Witwatersrand and Junior Research Scholar from the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles. She is cofounder of the cultural heritage organisation Qriocity and currently completing a doctrate in Art History at Wits University whilst working part time as the programmes coordinator for the Roger Ballen Foundation in Johannesburg.
